CABA Pro Legal Services was established by the Cuban American Bar Association's (CABA) Board of Directors in 2007 as a separate 501(c)(3) entity, with eyes set on assisting low-income community members in South Florida by providing them with legal representation in several underserved practice areas.
CABA Pro Bono Legal Services has a dedicated legal staff of 31 legal professionals, including 15 staff attorneys, across two offices in Miami, and a network of hundreds of volunteer attorneys committed to providing free legal assistance to those most at risk in Florida, including victims of human trafficking and domestic violence, veterans, abused, abandoned or neglected children, neurodivergent individuals and their families, and the elderly. Our organization serves thousands of clients annually, including human trafficking survivors, foster children, veterans, domestic violence survivors, immigrant children as well as neurodivergent individuals and their families.
CABA Pro Bono Legal Services is unique in that it provides holistic services for its clients to help them get back on their feet and reduce the likelihood of victimization once their legal dispute is resolved. This approach goes above and beyond what other organizations provide.
